Our Christian vision is motivated by the advice the apostle Paul wrote of in his first letter to the church in Corinth, where he gave instructions for living God’s way. In the last few lines of this letter, Paul reminds us that all our deeds, however big or small, should be an expression of our love for others. We believe that by doing everything out of love which are given a strong foundation for knowing how to live: how to treat ourselves and others with respect, how to make good choices, and how take responsibility for our life-long learning and development.
This vision is lived out and put into practice through our school’s star qualities, which animate and inspire all that we are and do. These qualities are the ‘fruit of the Spirit’ that Paul talks of in his letter to the Galatians, which we trust are the key to our flourishing as individuals and as a community, both local and global. We work to ensure that these gifts, given to us by God, are seen, evidenced and lived out throughout our school in all we do, think and say.
‘the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control’.
(Galatians 5.22-23)
The greatest of these qualities is love. Through love, all is possible. We believe that these star qualities given to us by God will guide us in developing our aspirations, believing in ourselves and others, and achieving our full potential.
We love our family.
We love ourselves.
We love our environment.
We love learning.
We love our neighbours.
We love our world.
