Some great reasons to join us

The Friends of our school need you (extended edition) - YouTube

We welcome any help from parents, teachers and friends, and have a WhatsApp group of amazing volunteers who commit their time to helping. Every little helps, so just one hour of assisting at an event or wrapping lucky dip prizes or folding raffle tickets as just a few examples, would be invaluable. If you would like to join us, please speak to a committee member, come along to our next meeting or email us

The Committee

The committee meet once a term and are responsible for deciding where the hard earned funds are spent. We plan the event calendar for the year and set up smaller working groups with the volunteers when we are planning larger events. We would really love to expand our committee and welcome more members to join us, particularly if you have links with KS2 Children (Juniors).

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Our Annual General Meeting is held in October and provides an excellent opportunity for all parents to come along and hear in more detail about our work, the events we have run, the funds we have raised and how the money has been spent. It is also when we elect our new committee members for the year ahead.

How we raise money

The majority of our funds are raised through the events that we run. Donations from parents are extremely important. You can donate time, money, items for sale, raffle prizes or offers of services and skills. The committee will also support you to run your own events, so if you have a great idea to raise funds for our school please get in touch.

We know how precious everyone's time is, so there are some really easy ways to raise funds, with minimal effort and the opportunity to win prizes and money in return!

How we spend the money we raise

The committee are responsible for deciding how the funds are spent. We invite the school to provide a ‘wish list’ of items that they would like us to consider funding. Supplementing school trips is a priority for the school, to keep costs down for families.  The annual key trips that we fund include:

  • KS2 funding travel costs to London
  • KS2 funding an instructor for the day at camp
  • KS1 funding travel costs to the Synagogue and the Zoo

We also invite input from families too, so if you have an idea of something that would benefit all the students in the school, please do share it with the committee and we will either discuss it at the next meeting, or invite you to join us and discuss your idea with us!
