Pat, Ted and Mike told stories of unexploded bombs, air-raids, Liverpool in flames, rationing and wartime Christmas. Despite the hardships they faced during those troubled times, their memories of childhood were positive. Y6 children reflected afterwards that we could learn from their attitudes - despite the lack of food, they did not go hungry; during the long hours spent in an Anderson Shelter, they did not complain of being bored or scared. Thank you for helping us to realise how lucky we are!
